That's What You Get

by xoOrdinaryGirlox   Mar 13, 2008

My world, my everything, my reason for living
That's what you were.
A cheat, a fake, a lying little pig
That's what you are.

You lied, to my face, cheated behind my back
I always thought you weren't real.
Our bed, did your deed, I was only next door
You didn't care how I would feel.

For days, for months, may as well tell me now
You know damn well that this is over.
For years, for decades, put me out of my misery
Ha! I'd have more luck finding a four leaf clover!

Good was she? Wasn't I enough? You just couldn't help yourself
She was your prize possession and I was just a dirty tool.
Why do it? Weren't you happy? You could have just talked to me
You didn't have to make me out to be a fool!

So obviously, I've lost, to you this relationship was a game
Round of for sweeping me off my feet.
You played well, I suppose, why did I ever believe you?
But then that's what you get in this world for loving a cheat!
