A special gift

A special gift was given to me,
its not a car,
its not a bike.
its something more, more special then anything in the world.
it was a girl, a girl who i could love and say i love you.
it was the most precious gift of all.
she is special to me, that i will never lie.
she is so kind, so caring, she means the world to me.

but what she doesn't know is, everything that she says makes my heart sing. sing for joy and sing for peace.

this isn't a poem about cheesy love, its far more then that.
this love that we share, started out as a best friend stage but now where we are is here.

here i am, sitting in a room, no longer of darkness, and fear.

here i lay, on a bed...trying to picture her saying these words, "i love you"

i don't know if she knows it but, she really is something special,

the greatest gift i could have ever been given.
