Minutes

by Emilline   Mar 19, 2008

Useless minutes pass within my brain
My heart is beating to everlasting restrain
Thoughts control my every move
Hours pass by just barely smooth

Words repeat themselves over in my head
Wishing, waiting, crying for my bed
Silence yells throughout my ears
I have nothing left but my very own fears

My body is shaking, moving too fast
Anxious that your presence won't last
I've lost my breath, it's gone too far
I sit and wait for my shooting star
