Silver roses

by Dylan Mccurry   Mar 21, 2008

For one last moment I'm with you,
And I just can't let you go
How much I need you back in my life,
You really just don't know
I find myself in this cemetary,
Underneath the grey skies.
The sun simply cannot compare,
To the light you held in your eyes.
I love you more than life itself,
And now I'm on my knees.
I'd bring to you silver roses,
If it would bring you back to me.
I hear you calling out to me,
A voice inside the wind.
But by the time i begin to answer,
You're completely gone again.
I can't let your memory fade away,
For I would simply die.
Now in my confinement,
I can finally break down and cry.
In this eternal winter,
I feel so empty and cold.
It's funny how a series of events,
Can make one's life unfold.
I've missed you so very much,
Since you left that December day.
I promise to never love again,
While forever you're away.
