Segregation

by Dayne Middleton   Mar 22, 2008

Truths untold
but none forgotten,
lies and deceit
thousands of them.
people live by the word
a every day goal,
losing out of what could have been,
doing as they've been told.
the thought of resurrection
impales fear into many
living a certain way,
with hopes of living on judgment day.
miracles in this world
profoundly exist but
not because of a higher being
our knowledge is this.
is the proof in the picture
or the stories we hear and see.
all i know is that
this book is no use to me.
the fire engulfs
the pages one by one
as if it were a mere being
the damage is done.
as the years go by
and our intelligence increases
why cant we see problems arise
when views on death are preached to us.
segregated communities
fall apart from battles.
hate mongers
as army's travel.
if we focused more on life then death
imagine what could be accomplished
wars wouldn't rage
and places wouldn't get bombed.
think about this for a second
or not
live your life to its fullest
don't worry about getting caught.
