Yesterday

Rolled out of bed
didn't want to get up
brushed my teeth
of milk i drank a cup

i rushed through my shower
what a long day ahead
i was so hungry
i wanted to be fed

and we wound up at Dion's
eating more than one slice
i realized how much i loved my friends
they are oh so nice!

and we chatted for a while
while we ate more
and then we got restless
and we ran out the door

we sat in the sunshine
snacking on treats
we waited for your mom's car
to pick us up off the streets

and we drove to the park
oh how nice and green
i guess others wouldn't understand
you had to be there, if you know what i mean

we played in the sunshine
we laughed way too much
but i felt like i was great
i felt like i was in luck

once again we got bored
with feet in the sand
i got stuck in the swing
so you gave me a hand

we walked down to where
many memories lie
and i felt so joyful
i can't explain why

and this poem is cheesy
but yesterday was grand
and i'm hoping the rest of spring break
we can do it again

we ate too much icecream
and swung off of bars
and all the while no one passed us
not a single red car

and it got really late
i had to go
i had to say goodbye
but i want you to know

i'm so thankful for friends
with whom i can share
when i have a great day
and it goes down with a flare

so thanks once again
sorry this poem's so lame
i love you guys lots
and i am not ashamed!

Cool. Kind of a long poem about a strong friendship. But good.
