The Voice Within

by Porsha Kennedy   Mar 22, 2008

I'm yelling, screaming for someone to hear me
I open my mouth but nothing comes out
Like an invisible girl, I long for someone to see me
Will anyone ever hear me, can't you hear my soul shout
Slowly I drift away, but no one can tell
I my camouflaged by the continuously busy changing world
I start to give up when all else fell
No one can hear me over the constant bickering and quarrels
Please hear my voice , somebody please
Don't forget me, hear my cries
Stop what you're doing, God let time freeze
Listen to the voice within, before it dies
Once it's gone you won't remember how it sounds
You look for it but you won't hear it
Simply because the voice within is no where to be found
So please world, shut up and listen
