Please let it rain, keep me from the smoldering earth, I'm waiting like the seeds of grass.
Let it rain in peace forever where I walk, whether you're there, or not.
I can't say I want you back by my side, but I can say I'm sorry for pushing you away from my path.
My own selfishness has devoured my sense of credibility. I can't cry, but I can see you smile.
It's all I ever wished for was for anyone to keep a smile and go toward they believe in
Please let it rain in peace, because I've been fighting a war that made the feeling of death creeping in my chest.
I can say that I have had harsh words I wanted to throw at you, but each dagger I threw at myself, and now I am praying for forgiveness.
