Who I Am

I don't know exactly who I am
I'm still learning in everything I do
I know that I'm disorganized
and I've lost a thing or two
I know that I can be quiet and shy
and shut off and insecure at times
But I know that my soul is open and free
Just look at how easy I rhyme <3
I'm also stubborn and pigheaded
but I really do try my best
I even admit I'm not always right
(but please, don't tell the rest)
I always try to be optimistic
even when I've lost my way
Because I know that each star promises
that tomorrow will be a brand new day
I always try to be happy
though sometimes sad thoughts break through
but I don't stay down too long
because eventually I'll think of you
I know that I love to laugh
and sometimes it's nice to cry
And I know I'd rather hear the truth
than stand victim to a lie
But while I still figure things out
there is one thing I've learned is true
I am everything that I am today
Because I was blessed by meeting you.
