Recipe for Insanity

by Lemma   Mar 24, 2008

One cup of being away from you,
One ounce of sleepless nights,
A tablespoon of jealousy,
One gram of vicious fights,
Half a litre of fallen tears,
A milligram of doubt,
Seven pounds of gnawing guilt,
That I could do without.
Three quarters of a pint of pain,
A few gallons of fear,
Two big handfuls of remorse,
Then leave for two whole years.
Mix it up with malicious chat,
A rumour here and there,
People who I thought were friends,
Then turn out not to care.
This recipe for madness,
For pure insanity,
Is the formula for my life,
The recipe for me.

Ooooh, I loved how you actually made a recipe. Haha, I might need to actually try it and see if I go insane.

The only thing I can crtique is that I would have liked to have seen you put it in stanzas. When people don't do that it just looks messy for some reason. >< It's probably just me. Other than that I loved the uniqueness of this. Wonderful job.

    Keep writing!

So unique. Another great write from you. This is one of few poems I have nothing to suggest in the way of making it better. The flow was good as well as the message. Kudos points for you. 5/5
