Our treason.

by Helene   Mar 24, 2008

It happened again,
another worthless fight,
Born between our differences,
My fury and your pride.
We're on the edge of reason,
Forced to play along,
Cause giving up another time,
Just kills what was so strong.
Our smiles have stiffened in our faces,
Our touch have gotten colder,
And Ive lost that rush of electricity,
From when I used to touch your shoulder.
And I do admit, youve weakened me,
But wether its through I cant agree,
I know somehow we've reached the ending,
But were getting better at pretending.
And in the end do you think,
We can fool our own hearts?
Cause its always less painful than
To tear it apart.
And in the end do you think
We can survive on this deal?
To adapt to the emptiness
And learn not to feel.
And when we feel death in our kiss,
Can we resurrect the memories we miss,
And if we belong to another,
Why is it we wind up together.
When is the truth when we need it,
And would be we strong enough to see it.
Where is the lies, I need to believe in,
Wearing disguises I hardly can breath in.
As I said, were on the edge of reason,
And when we face the truth,
Will we be sentenced for our treason?
