I bawled when you said you are still my best friend

by cheryl   Mar 25, 2008

I laughed when you said my heart would mend,
i bawled when you told me you are still my best friend.
cause best friends wouldn't hurt each other like you hurt me.
i let you make your mistake once ,
with out punishment you never learned and hurt me so easily.
i made it so easy to take advantage of me twice.

i don't want to see your face in the crowd any longer.
you broke me down so fast i feel i cant get stronger.
living and learning life's hard lessons.
taking for granted all my blessings,
blinded with tears i couldn't see,
the wolf in sheep's clothing, hurting me.
tearing me down,
from the the inside out.
without a sign of regret.

Jeremy how could this be,
you get so much pleasure from killing me.
ripping out my feelings like a piece of paper from a book.
closing my eyes
to your trembling disguise,
all you could do was look.

you pretended it was the last time you would do something like that,
and here i went trusting you again.
i laughed when you said my heart would mend,
i bawled when you told me you are still my best friend.

*my comment on this poem* this is about my friend that totally screwed me over and i can never forgive him.i hope you like it.
