Superhero

by DoubtTheSinner   Mar 26, 2008

You used to be called a superhero
A person who could saved the ones who fell down
With their painted wings covered in tape
And eyes dipped in red ink

You used to be called a superhero
Who walked the streets at night
To see the world crumble into pieces
And walk away a savior to the blind

You used to be called a superhero
To push the demons into the minds of the weak
And to see their souls burn in hell
Laughing your head off at your accomplishments

You used to be called a superhero
Even when you blew your brains out
Onto the institution walls
Smiling with your crooked grin
And leaving the words "Superhero" on your hands
