Don`t You Cry Now

by DoubtTheSinner   Aug 19, 2008

Hey little girl don`t you cry now
Your parents just wanted you to be safe
Don`t you go cry now, or they might hear
Be quiet now or they`ll take you away
On the steel trains for a whole new identify
One with a number and rags of filth
Stealing your necklace and melting it down
Their greed knows no bounds, so don`t you cry
Hush little darling or they`ll might come

Hey little girl don`t you cry now
Look across the river and you will see
The burning buildings, of the people they call filth
For you see little girl, to them you are nothing more
Than a soulless body, causing misfortune across the land

Hey little girl don`t you cry now
I promised you that the star of David across your neck
Would always keep you safe
So please keep your faith when they take you away
Hey little girl don`t you cry now or they will hear
And burn you alive, filling the sky with your ashes
Singing the song of a brighter Germany
