The Storm

by Megan   Mar 26, 2008

Thunder rumbles,
Lightning cracks in the night,
Big, fat, thick raindrops fall,
Leaving their impression upon the untouched, virgin, earth.
The wind blows, furiously,
And the trees dance and sway to the rhythm of its music.
I'm haunted by the vision,
Of the lightning strike,
And the tree falls aflame.
All the joy burned away.
Thunder screams,
The raindrops cry,
The earth crushed beneath,
Its innocence gone.
What happened to its happiness?
Raped and Taken by the electric scorch of The Storm
