A Suicide Note

This is a note I wrote to one of my best friends who killed himself last April...I turned it into a poem.

Dear Friend,
When I heard the news, I was shocked
Someone with so much character and potential as you?
Ending your life. Why?
We haven't seen or talked in three months.
I dont even remember the last thing I said to you.
Sad.
All I know is that you were a great person and so many people loved and cared for your soul.
Maybe if you would of known that, you would still be with us today...maybe not though.
You were always so generous, thank you.
I remember the first time we spoke, I were walking up the stairs at school, you come up behind me and tape me on the shoulder, you say "hello", wave and walk away. You were the first person to say anything to me at that school.
I have so many memories and I will always keep them with me.
I am sad I will never be able to experience your laugh or smile again, you were something else.
You are Great.
