'Will you marry me?' You asked that night. 'Yes. . . Yes I will.' I said I felt my heart take flight My mind had started to race, As dreams of us clouded my eyes. A jolt went through my body, Each time I heard you sigh. Never have I felt so strong, So sure about this love. But of this I am certain, You are my angel sent from above. Last night I dreamt of our future, Of the first day we really meet. Of your arms holding me tightly, And me starting to joyfully weep. I dreamt of us at Stony Brook, Of you down on one knee, You formally asking as you smile, 'Cassie, will you marry me?' It flashed to our wedding, Our bondage of love so true, As you place the ring on my finger, While we both softly say, 'I do. .' A flash of white, we're on a beach, Your hands around my hips, Whispering softly in my ear As you draw me to your lips. After, I saw us in college Walking as our hands laced. I leaned my head on your shoulder, As you move with perfect grace. A home, a boy and a girl playing, Us on our front porch as we gaze. The sun setting behind the clouds, Turning everything a golden haze. I feel you drawn to me, And me to you. I feel we shall grow old together, One day, someday soon I may be dreaming too far, But then I don't really care. I love to take risks and chances, And even more so dares Yes I dare to try I dare to dream Because not even God himself Has a chance at stopping me. In the moment I saw your face, Somehow my heart just knew; That I would spend a lifetime, Filled with loving you. I love you Adam, And I know you love me. And thats the only way I see it, Forever and all eternity. . .*I love you Adam, and sorry for the really long delay to my poems guys ^^;;;*
