Bright Red Walls And A Heart Of Stupidity.

by Stephanie   Mar 28, 2008

I'm rehearsing familiar words because they can never be too real,
and I'm attempting to cry an ocean for you because you told me I won't.
[So call it a lack of judgment or stupidity, I call it love.]
I always told you that this sun and rain will speak like a miracle,
for they'll whisper to you all of these little things my tongue won't own up to say.
And remember when you told me that poetry never erased the lies,
they simply painted over the truth?
Well baby, I can promise you that my walls and heart are covered in red paint,
because of you. Yes - you.
My closet is filled with ghosts and my heart is full of glass,
and forever crashed down too soon, and your hand felt too cold to be wrapped in love.
So here we are: at an end.
with bright red walls and a heart of stupidity.
