Behind The Pretty Face

by Confessions   Mar 30, 2008

She's the prettiest girl in town
The kind you'd never think would feel sad or down
She's full of charm and glory
But the look in her eyes tell a different story

Look behind the eye shadow and mascara on her eyes
You'd see how her smiles and laughs are covered with lies
Her face looks pale, fatigue and tired
She's lost deep down and uninspired
She wants to sit, weep and cry
But instead she acts happy and chooses to deny

She hears she's beautiful and she smiles
But doesn't real want to believe it
How everyone sees her beauty but not what's beneath it
What's hidden from sadness and hurt

She'd rather look ugly covered with dirt
Maybe then, she thought, people will get to notice her beauty within
And notice she's not perfect, covered with sin

I like it alot!!.it was really sad..i gave it a 5/f because i liked it so much...
but here is a suggestion on the third line of the second stanze "fatigue" should be "fatigued"
on the 5th line of the second stanze ..weep and cry are basically the same thing,, why don't u say grieve and cry, or mourn and cry....
    idk..just some suggestions....
