Damn Wheelchair

by Broken Wings of a Forgotten Angel   Mar 31, 2008

My family plays outside
But I'm stuck in this wheelchair
I wish I could be like them
But my legs will never repair

I'm stuck like this for eternity
These legs will never heal
When you guys are out dancing
That experience I will never feel

I can not walk
Can not drive
I feel so impaired
And not alive

I
Am
Stuck
Like
This
Forever

I wish it was longer but it was a good poem. I have a friend that was born with a spinal disorder so he's impaired for life. The rhyming was consistent and I didn't find any mistakes. Overall it was a good poem. 4

This piece was very nicely written. The flow was almost perfect. And you expressed yourself very nicely and clearly, I can feel the emotions bouncing off the piece as I read. It's short, but portrays a lot of sorrow. Excellent work. :] 5/5.
