Magnificent Illuminations

by Broken Wings of a Forgotten Angel   Jan 30, 2010

Incandescent light radiating
From every facet of your being
Beauty in its purest form
An emerald gem so rare

Jealous sun cannot compete
To your illuminating glow
A silhouette against the sun
Oh! Nothing can compare

I raise my hands to shield my eyes
From weeping with joy and pain
To be swept away like waves from tide
With your smile, so glistening bright

It’s as if the diamonds in the sky
Have unified as one
Our hands entwined together
On this most magnificent night
