We Must Make a Choice

by Melinda   Apr 6, 2008

This last breathe i shall not waste,
For you i had no doubt.
And with my last gasp for air,
My love for you i shout.

My lack of words says enough,
Of the pain i endure inside,
Each haunting laugh and puzzled look,
That can't be left aside.

These shaking hands they tremble,
Over your body oh so strong,
Feeling your heart in my finger tips,
Hearing my favorite song.

Your lips so soft so gentle,
As they slowly press on mine,
Holding our bodies together so close,
Forming one single mind.

The pain the emptyness,
It's so surreal so haunting to my soul,
Letting go is one thing
But never having you to let go?

This blade against my finger tips,
Pressing in my worthless skin,
I watch the pain trickle down my arm,
So i can smile once again.

Your simple smile i cherish,
The caring in your voice,
But i can't live like this forever,
We need to make a choice...
