My Wish

by Jake Mayo   Apr 7, 2008

Mirror, Mirror
On the wall
I do no not understand
At all

This simple plan
Has gone awry
I feel its poison
Deep inside

The wicked spell
She's cast on me
Makes is so hard
Just to breathe

It puts my poor heart
To the test
I fear it may
Burst through my chest

This mess
No sewing mice can mend,
Or talking teacups,
Animal friends

My prince can't save me
From her grasp
This magic's working
Much too fast

Potions, mixtures,
Tried them all
There's nothing left
To break my fall

My whole facade
Is melting down
My charming smile,
Princess gown

So exposed
Under her stare
I'm standing
In the dragon's lair

I brace myself
For her attack
But she just says
She loves me back

She breaks the curse
With true-love's kiss
And I soon see
That was my wish:

Together at last,
My witch and me
Ever-after
Living happily
