Our Disaster

by Jake Mayo   Jun 19, 2008

Natural sums it up
I think that's what we were
Just another force of nature
Making all those feelings stir

We just went with the flow
But what we thought was right
Was a natural disaster
Causing chaos day and night

Every touch and whisper
Just fueled that fire more
We didn't really know that
We were heading for the storm

If only you had said before
What you needed from me
I would have fixed it 'fore I
Took us so far out to sea

Our hurricane, it hit us
And before I knew why
The ship we sailed tore apart
And we were in the eye

My boat kept on sinking
The storm we made dragged me down
And now I'm here without you,
Trying my best not to drown

I'm not sure my legs can hold me
With just sand and muck below
I guess we should have done more
I guess we should have known

With the elements against us
We can't hold our heads above
Passion made a bad life-vest
What we needed was love
