Slowly Slipping Away

by Midnight   Apr 8, 2008

Here's the story of a girl
Livin in a lonely world
She had it rough
though she played it tough
It slowly ate away
Until she was nothing more than an actor
Acting day and night
The only thing she could hold onto
Was her sport
The sport that her friends so eagerly pulled her into
But turned at the challenge she posed
She had made friends
But that wasn't enough
Her family was falling anyways
She just wanted it all to be
The same as it used to be
She'd sit alone at night
And wonder why
Why her life was a living hell
Nothing would give a hint of tell
Though she was in great pain
She held it back
And acted normal as could be
But it was all an act
She didn't want pity
She didn't want to let it out
But at the same time she wanted both
She feels like no one will ever love her
Slowly she's cutting herself off
No one thinks anything of it
She's going silent as a fox
She's alone in her box
What now?
What then?
No one can change her
She's slipping away
Into a dark void
Where she will wonder why for all her days
Why no one cared
Why no one noticed
Why she slipped away and no one noticed
All she has left to hoped for is her sport
Though now with some tough stuff
Even that, her only escape
Is being threatened to be yanked from her
She's worried, but she also can't stand to suffer school
Summer school where she'll have to go
Because she can't give a speech
And she has a late paper that was lost
But claimed to be never turned in
She's worried to lose the only thing she has left
All she lives for is her sport
What will happen if she loses it?
Simple
Easy
She'll slip easily to the death grip
Of the black void that's been
Pulling, tugging at her
To take her under
She's been fighting with her sport
And now it's being threatened
She'll end up like all the others
The others who took their lives
The others who hurt themselves
Just to feel
Just to live
Just to survive
Now she's slowly slipping away
Holding on by a hair
But it's being yanked away
And she'll slip into the void
Forever...
Gone...
No one will notice
No one cares for her anyways
