Mafia

by Ares   Apr 9, 2008

A billion degrees,
sweat is running down my nose,
no one is certain,
but I bet they're really close.

because you think you are alright,
but the enemies can kill you in the dead of the night.

six hundred people,
are fighting for their man,
not even the police,
will try to understand.

because you think you are alright,
but the enemies can kill you in the dead of the night.

it all started with,
a shot in the dark,
dead was my father,
they got him in the park.

because you think you are alright,
but the enemies can kill you in the dead of the night.

it's the way of the mafia,
just the way of the mafia.

my dear...

Not one of your best poems, but I can see the potential here. The type of 'alright' that you should probably use is 'all right' it just fits better. I like the refrains though!
Be careful of your rhyming-it should sound natural, not forced.
All in all an all right job!
