The Sun and Moon

by Gabba Gabba Hey   Apr 9, 2008

I tucked the sun in
kissing it with motherly affection
and prepared for the cold night
that would follow

the moon winked at me
and told me stories of the past
while I sat and tried to ignore it's
nonsensical ramblings of loss

I love the shortness of the poem. It is damn cute! Your word choice is perfect giving the piece worth. my favorite lines are:

    "I tucked the sun in
    kissing it with motherly affection"
