When Daddy Was Around

by xMisSxMassacrEx   Apr 11, 2008

She Clenches Her Eyes Shut
And The Screams Get Even Louder.
She Wants To Make It Stop,
But She Knows Her Words Won't Matter.

She Curls Up In Her Blankets
As Her World Comes Crashing Down.
The Cries That Our Mommy Makes
When Daddy Is Around.

She Hears The Sound Of Slapping,
A Crash That Sounds Like Glass.
The Minutes Seem Like Hours
As She Waits For It To Pass.

But Then The Door Is Opened
And Daddy Stumbles In.
She Knows That This Is Surely Hell
Part Two Yet To Begin.

His Eyes Are Red And Glazed
And He Tries To Stand Up Straight.
Mommy's Screaming In The Hall
But Now, Its Just Too Late.

He Stumbles To Her Bed
And Grabs Her By The Neck.
Drunken Rage Deep Inside
That She Cannot Forget.

His Grip Begins To Tighten
As She Becomes His Only Target.
She Has No Clue On What She Did
But Knows She Didn't Start it.

Her Head Begins To Hurt
And It's Hard For Her To Breathe.
Daddy Shows No Mercy
As Mommy Starts To Plead.

She Cannot Hear His Words,
But She Sees That He Is Crying.
An Innocent Five Year Old
On The Verge Of Dying.

Her Body Starts To Tingle
And Her Arms Fall To Her Side.
Her Last Image Was Our Dad
Before She Closed Her Eyes.

The Sobbing And The Mourning
Is Quite Well Over Due.
Daddy's Gone, Mommy's Sad
And I Feel So Confused.

I Sat There And I Watched
My Sissy Die That Night.
Peering Through The Closet Door
While Daddy Stole Her Life.

I'm Broken And Alone
While Daddy's Locked Away.
Mommy Hasn't Said A Word
Since Sissy Died That Day.

Her Heart Beat Remains No More
And Shes Six Feet Under Ground.
But That's What Happened To Her
When Daddy Was Around.

Well, it happened to my friend. and she was very upset about it, she said that she would like me to write about it because her emotions would finally be free. then she asked me to post it so other people can be aware about what has happened and what can happen if someone is an alcoholic. my father is one, so I can relate to it, but not to that degree. I was over there a few times when her father was drunk, so I pretty much knew what to write. it just pored out, but thanks for the comment =]
