The World Unmasked

Does the mask hide one's face, or one's emotions?
Do we all just don masks and accept these stupid notions?
The ones that society creates and enforces.
That create pain, and greed, and people's divorces.
The men become pigs, and the women harlequin.
They hallow our minds, and our hearts become tin.
Our thoughts aren't our own.
And our heads attached to phones.
We become jaded and abused.
Others just ignore the news.
But most are just used.
This is the wonderful world we live in.
And it's funny that people think we're all going to Heaven.
