Pantomime Of Life

by LitxUpxWithxLife   Apr 12, 2008

Pain and anger ripple through my head.
If it increases I'm sure to be left dead.
The tears of blood that streak my face.
As red as the rose left at my grave's base.
My mind can't realize that I'm dead and my body is gone.
So let my memory and my life be remembered by this song.
Because this mere echo of life left in me is a sad remainder,
Of the spark that had once filled this now lifeless container.

I really like the four last lines of the poem. It to me is like you don't want to accept that you are dead but you try to by singing a song.

My mind can't realize that I'm dead and my body is gone.
So let my memory and my life be remembered by this song.
Because this mere echo of life left in me is a sad remainder,
Of the spark that had once filled this now lifeless container.
