Until it kills me

Like a ship emerging from this fog
these tattered wounds beneath my skin
keep aching
its never ending
they haven't helped me find myself
this fog keeps hiding me
keeps swallowing me whole.
until i grasp for air and theres none left.
i fall
these wounds have strangled me
