I am Unsurpassed...

by Brett   Apr 13, 2008

We all have are doubts, every here and there,
All except me, for I never scare.
I look into your eyes; I'm left without suspicion.
I thought we'd be together living life beyond omission.

But you then chose to drive us apart,
Putting us right back at the start.
At first I was stunned, but I quickly came to my senses.
I was blinded by my love; what are these pretenses?

At the start I was terrified exceeding control.
I soon fell apart and it took quite a toll.
Losing you is losing my life.
What am I to do trying to live with this knife?

Now that I have considered, it is all just fine.
I'm glad it was done because now I can shine.
I can finally move on and proudly overcome.
No longer will I need you, you're forever numb

I am my own person and I do as I please.
I know I can live without you-with frictionless ease.
Never again will I weep at our past,
I am myself and I am unsurpassed.
