Whispered secrets,
Tainted lies,
Gossip brings,
Sweet truths demise.

Thoughts are scattered,
Reps are broken,
Hurtful words,
Best left unspoken.

Envy drives,
The bitter beast,
Hatred fueled,
And then released.

Love yourself,
To love another,
Give as though,
Each were your brother.

Karma,
Never asks us why,
But pays us back,
For every lie.

Every ounce of pain,
Repaid,
Taking all,
Your heart betrayed.

    You hit the nail on the head in this part. The pain and heartache rumors cause others leave scars on their hearts forever.

    The entire piece flowed wonderful and leaves the reader thinking deeply. The message within the lines is one everyone should listen too

    WOW ... this poem was great. I loved the structure and flow. The rhyming was also excellent and right on key.

    Honestly, this poem just rolled off the tongue with no pressure or force what so ever and that is a great thing.

    I love how you were able to use such simplicity in a large vocabulary. That real made this poem simple yet beautiful.
