For It's All I Know

by brie kelly wise   Apr 14, 2008

Morning after morning, you find yourself waking up in a dark bed
And the things you fell asleep for rush back into your head
Finding the sun was never real to begin with so no wonder it never lasts
And the only thing you can remember is a haunting past

Day by day, you find yourself wandering in oversized shoes
And the promises you heard weren't real so there was really nothing to lose
Everything you once lived for slip away and you forget it was ever there
So why was I thinking nothing was ever fair?

One by one, you pop them in trying to escape from anything you might see
Anything that may appear, the thing you promised you would never keep
Of course there's nothing wrong with running from summer when you just saw snow
There's nothing really to live for since what I see day and night is all I know
