Moon Tossed At 3 In The Morning

by ThugPoet   Apr 16, 2008

All she really wants is some love & affection
A little 'I love you', hugs & attention
But shes left alone at night awake & in tension
'Moon tossed at 3 in the morning'

Tears fall like broken stars from her beautiful eyes
Still full of forgiveness & hope, glistening in the night skies
Still breathing, hiding, trying on every single disguise
Still 'Moon tossed at 3 in the morning

Shes disrespected, mistreated, misused & thrown away
Then told to believe these are the 'Freedoms' of the modern woman today
Her body is just another avenue for who's who to get paid
So she stays 'Moon tossed at 3 in the morning'

But I want to change all that, all those tears that she's shed
All the broken hearts, slit wrists & the blood that she bled
For every lie that she's been told I'll hold her close & kiss her instead
Keep her 'Moon tossed at 3 in the morning'

She deserves a honest man, a honest heart and a honest soul
A truthful tongue, a truthful body at night for her to hold
To wake up to warm soft kisses on her neck in the cold
To be kept 'Moon tossed at 3 in the morning'

I'll always keep her 'Moon Tossed At 3 In The Morning.'

What a heartfelt lyrical poem, beautiful, I could almost hear a melody to it, like a ballad.

Its really hard to find a good man and who
    understands without abusing or mistreating
a woman. A touching write this was..
    take care.
