My Silent Apology

by I Seem to be the Heartless   Apr 17, 2008

Tonight I want to tell you
That I'm sorry
For all the wrong I've done;
I'm sorry
For all the lies I told;
I'm sorry
For all the promises I broke...
I haven't been
The greatest of daughters
But you haven't been
The greatest of parents either.
I have suffered
And you refused to turn and help.
I have bled
And you refused to turn and heal.
I have died
And you refused to try to revive.
So this is my silent apology,
I whisper it in the dead of the night.
Do you hear it?

I'm sorry...

    I understand this poem from people I have met in my life with this time of problems.

    Beautifully laid out.
