A-Coming

by Soulful Ensemble   Apr 18, 2008

Im going crazy, not knowing where the wind is blowing
Or how your boat is rowing, if slow or fast a-moving.
I know the blind can see and the deaf can hear you coming
But why can't I detect what they see there anchoring?
Maybe I'm just too worried and youre almost here arriving
So I should put my mind at rest and ready for your singing.

My bag of tricks has run out of things to show
And its getting dark now as the falling snow
Has trapped everything i held to heart
And I must evacuate and begin from the start.

I'm missing you, youre laying there
In the government shelter with no air.
How many nights, I wonder here
Sitting, yearning for you to appear.

I'm waiting for my heart to come
And fill my smiles again with tears
That just want to know the sum
Of the days you were not here.

How long can you steer clear
And evade all poison spears?
By yourself I fear its severe
I want to be there at your rear.

I have the wheels in gear
I'm on my way to see you.
I hope you have no fear
On the morning i come through.

I just want to see your smile
And I want to feel your love.
Let me stay there a while
I won't even push or shove.
