The test of time, crumbling hopes,
Bouts of despair, ransacking visions.
The poisonous touch, inflicting pain,
Years of hopefulness down the drain.
Hordes of emotions, warping reality,
To this outcome I'm powerless, and things aren't the same.
Life is playing tricks on me, hanging me out to dry,
I wanna know why I've been used till now, no matter how hard I try.
I wanna see the reason for the crushing of feelings,
I wanna make it stop.
I wanna see why this hasn't worked out,
Why things were never what I thought.
