Snow

by Dan   Apr 19, 2008

Long days that turn into
Longer nights
These nights all occupied of one thing
The thought of you
Your smile,
Your laugh,

So much occupies my mind this night
How much I love you
How much I want you
Wondering why you are the last thought of night
And how you have been my first thought in the morning

Some say this is obsession
That this love is now obsession
Others say this is love
A love whiter than the snow
So pure it is comparable to the snow

Yet, I know it as one thing
That it is a feeling in my heart
It over takes my mind,
My soul and it just keeps taking over
So as each flake of snow falls

It reminds me of you
This love we share is something
That continues to spur me on
As we dance in this snow
I recite you a line of poetry

That a great man once said to me
That a woman falls in love through what is heard
A man through what he sees
So I see the love of my life
You hear the voice of the kid who has fallen in love with you

You hold me captive in your love
Your stare continuing to keep me here
I admit I love you
I continue hoping for the answer to my 1 question
Will you let our snow to continue to fall?

Nice work Dan. I like how you've used snow as an analogy for your feelings and relationship. Your word usage and repetition truly show how you feel and like you said it does become an obsession...not in a bad way though. Anyway keep it up.

    cheers, josh
