And then there's you

by withlove   Apr 19, 2008

Surrounded by the beauty of this season
flower petals drifting through the air
fresh green grass sprouting from the ground
birds chirping in the trees
the laughter of kids playing outside
the first bud appears on a tree
small animals scurrying across the yard
And then theres you
your eyes shining brighter than the sun
your scent even better than that of the roses
your smile warmer than the blacktop under my feet
your touch affecting me more than the rain on the dry ground
how all that beauty could be put into one thing never ceases to amaze me
i am forced to share it with others because it is such an important part of their lives
but i can take it because like this short season is the best part of my year, the small amount of time i spend with you is the best part of my day
