Keep It From Fading

Boy meets girl, their both nervous about the first impression,
They greet, they laugh, and neither can help but smile.
By the end of the night, they both had a confession,
They had no idea what to do, haven't done this in a while.

They both were so much alike, it was like fate.
They had the same dreams, desires, and much hope.
They kept thinking about the wonderful life they could create,
She wanted an enchanting wedding, he wanted to elope.

Yes, though they didn't agree on the wedding, the bride won,
They had the most glorious wedding, the parents thought they were so clever.
Its was a day when two life's, two people, two hearts, became one,
A bond that death would have to separate, they would be together forever.

Two years later they were expecting a little girl,
Both were very anxious, and nervous.
She was only 3 lbs., 7 in., with blonde hair and one lil' curl,
The doctor said he was sorry, she was immature, they had to prepare a funeral service.

The mother, suffering from depression, gave up, she wanted her baby,
Neither one could understand why God took her away from them.
He kept telling her not to give up, they could try again, just maybe,
Months later, she found out she was pregnant again, it was 9:45 p.m.

Nine months later a beautiful baby boy was born,
He was 9 lbs., 14 in., and chocolate brown hair.
It was a new little joy for them that had been reborn,
They both were so happy, nothing like it could compare.

They were a happy little, average American family,
But they all soon found out life wasn't a fairytale.
The husband left them for some girl named Amalie,
They couldn't help but think, what a betrayal.

It all just goes to show you, that love can fade, even from a hard time,
But thats why it isn't all dream, you have to stop it from fading.
Its not going to be all valleys, their will be a time for a mountain to climb,
Its not a game, not a test, not some "pastime", you cant fix it by words of persuading.

Love isn't a word, its a feeling, its an ability,
You will know who is the perfect one.
Their will be love, smiles, laughter, heartache, and much compatibility,
Everyone wishes that their search for love was done.
