The Fool and her Heart

by BJ Miller   Apr 20, 2008

Dont let me fool you
I can feel, too.
The glancing eyes
Those few surprises
Caught us off guard
Made it much harder for me to breathe
This heart on my sleeve is breaking
Aching
For one love

Dont let me fool you
I can imagine, too
The life-long dreams
Hopeful schemes for your heart
Breaking mine apart to be together
Snowy weather outside
I cried inside when you had to go
I had to show my feelings
Stealing visions of being with
The one
I love

Dont let me fool you
I can see you, too
Those few moments in time
Dropping a dime in the silence of the room
My personal tomb for my true emotions
The vast ocean of the real me
Wait, youll see I can be loved
It fits me like a glove mostly
Heavenly, ghostly dreams of that past
The last kiss which leaves me dying for more
And you are
The one that
I really love
