I fake a smile
To hide the tears,
To hide the feelings
Of dread and fear.

I fake a smile
To satisfy your need
Of not having
To waste your time on me.

I fake a smile
So you won't know,
So you won't see
The emotions I show.

I fake a smile
So that you don't see
That deep inside
I was very unhappy.

I fake a smile
To forget the world,
To forget that I
Was nothing but "just another girl".

I'll fake a smile
Until my very last breath,

Just how sad I was before my death.
