My head screams and steams, like a kettle full of simmering tea,
My fists clinch and my mind runs frantically free,
My frown is hidden by a smile I once possessed, but this smile is a fake smile and everyone knows,
Finally a tear, so clear, but with it's own somber personality, falls down my face as my friends become my foes,
I think to myself, “Did I do something wrong?”
I think to myself, “Can't this world just get along?”
I look high up towards God's creation,
Then run my eyes along this destructive nation,
This is when I realize this place of security, happiness, and love,
Exists only in a world far above,
This is when I knew I was fighting in a different war,
One of an achievement worth so much more,
”Bang!” a bullet shoots in my direction,
I fall to the ground with my hands over my head for protection
Another soldier screams my name,
But I can not win, we can not win, for a war is not a game,
It seems we can not learn this though,
Until it is our time to go,
Until it is our very last moment of our very last day,
But I hope maybe this will change things before…
