The story of a heart

Let me tell you a story,
About a heart that no longer beats.
A story of a heart,
That broke under defeat.
This heart was once so strong,
Letting no one near.
Now this heart is weak,
Living in a constant fear.
This heart was once so proud,
Never making a single sound.
Now this heart is nothing,
Always searching for the missing something.
Every now and then,
You wonder where it went,
Every now and then,
Its hard to realize how much time was really spent.
Its hard to think that a hear so cold could beat,
But it kind of makes you wonder what really happened during the defeat.
I guess you could ask the heart what really happened and how did it star,
But wouldnt you be afraid that it owuld again fall apart...
