Lost in a storm

by 1.Robert   Apr 26, 2008

Taken into the night whilst I'm not prepared,
Swept away in a stormy torrent,
Bringing such premature darkness,
All I crave is to witness light,
But must settle for brief flashes,
Lightning so brazenly bright.

What can I ask for,
When absolved in thunder,
Nothing is the answer,
With brooding anger,
I see nothing at all.

So now I'm subject to the bashfulness,
Of this cumulonimbus,
There is no mercy here,
Except the strange presence of the enlightened,
Taking three steps to appear.
