I lay there on the floor
you tap me on the shoulder
you tell me to help you sit up more
you told me that you was to weak
we called 911 and waited as they came
the moment they took you out the door
my life would never be the same

they brought you back to life here
I slept in the hallway
waiting for you to awake and hold me once more
I remember the words you last said "Ill always be with you"
but ...your not coming back are you?

I found out today on the way up to your room
I fell to my knees and screamed
my heart shattered
and tears covered my face
I guess u wont be here forever,
that promise you never kept

You knew that night
that you wouldn't make it
and when when you left
you smiled wide
