Very nicely done. I loved it. It brought out some old emotions in me and reminded me of how I felt sometimes when I was in love.

Those two lines really sum up the poem very well. The pain of the loss never truly heals but it does become easier when you find someone who reciprocates the feeling you have.

This was a beautiful write. very heartfelt an deep. i loved the title also, fit very well with it all. you express yourself veyr well through your work, and that's a wonderful thing.

But as time went by, we did not grow
closer but drifted further apart
The more I held on to you, the more
you closed the door to your heart.

i liked that stanza the most. it held the most meaning for me. especially the last 2 lines. job well done! 5/5.

This is one of the saddest poems. I thank God for the period of time I had my love. I miss him and yet know in my heart it would have always been true and pure for us. 10 years and it was bliss. You'll find that someone, he's just around the corner
