Lifes true worth

by shadowknight   Apr 30, 2008

I smiled,
a knowing smile rare upon my face,
just looking through those photographs,
that little kid who disappeared without a trace.

now i look into my reflection,
the adult curves starting to form,
the teenage awkwardness,
bringing on a storm.

There is no practice of life,
no second try,
just one straight shot,
and hoping to get by.

Things always change,
some not planned,
others well thought,
all toward life's demand.

When i reach the peak of adulthood,
i slowly start to know,
that life is set out for me,
and its not a One man show.

Life is for everyone,
including the less fortunate,
so begin tomorrow today,
Begin life portrait.

with one wish,
we can change the earth,
have the future we dream,
and find life's true worth.
