Where Else Can You Go?

by brie kelly wise   May 1, 2008

Just tell me this...
Do you remember back in first grade, in the sun
When we saved the bugs from the the mud
How we embraced the summer heat
Listening to music in your backseat

I just want to know this...
What exactly have you turned into?
You're not the young girl I'm used to
Yes, I know everyone changes
But you've gone farther than these ages

I just want to say...
I miss you back home, sitting in the sun alone
The trouble you've gotten yourself in has left you on the road
Please come to my door, I'll let you in
Because when I said always, forever is what I meant

Please listen to me...
I understand things are hard for you
But just remember what we have has always been true
And everyone knows you don't have to be so alone
Some come back to me, I mean, where else can you go?
